Passport Photo Code

Our stores are able to provide you with a digital photo and unique photo code. When applying for your passport online, simply enter the photo code on your online application and your passport photo will be retrieved immediately.

Each digital passport photo that we take is uploaded safely onto a secure server. The unique photo code that we will provide you with allows HMPO to retrieve your photo from our secure server. It is very important that your digital passport photo meets the strict specifications that Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) set. All of our colleagues are trained to ensure that your passport photo will pass first time. Our staff test each photo against the strict criteria before we hand it over to you - so you be safe in the knowledge it will be accepted first time round.

We also provide photos which meet the requirements for a range of photo ID including driving licence, bus passes, railcards, student cards, season tickets, green card, and many others! Unlike many photo booths, we take as many photos as you need to ensure you are completely satisfied before they are printed - at no additional cost! In addition to providing ID photos for applications in the UK, we are able to provide you with photos for International Passports and visas. We can currently provide you with passport and visa photos for over 140 different countries.

Passport & ID Photo FAQs

For a passport photo we charge £9.99. For a UK passport, this includes six printed copies and the digital code needed online with HMPO.

No appointment is necessary for us to take your photo. Just pop into either of our stores within normal opening hours and we will take and print your photo while you wait!

Yes!

If you are doing a UK passport this is done automatically with HMPO, however if it's for another country or purpose, a digital link to download your image can be provided at no extra cost!

In 2021, HMPO changed the rules to state that your photo has to have been taken within one month. With that in mind, your code will only last for a month, so we suggest you submit your application ASAP!

Absolutely, we can either do them lying down or sitting up dependant on age. All our staff are trained and ready to capture your baby’s first passport photo!

In short, NO! We check our photos with HMPO before providing them to you, this is to make sure you have no issues when you use your photos! However, if you do encounter any issues, we will of course take your photo again, free of charge!

Although you can, it is usually advised that you don’t to avoid glare or reflections that stop your eyes being fully captured.

Yes we can! We have visa templates for the vast majority of countries worldwide. If you’d like to confirm whether we can take a visa photo for a specific country, please get in touch!
